Chapter 442 I told You To Stop

The man brushed the back of his head, the sticky residue on his fingertips evidently infuriating him.

Perhaps his initial intention was merely to steal something. If his plans were exposed, he could easily flee, as a woman wouldn’t possibly be able to stop him.

But now that blood had been shed, a surge of violent intentions instantly welled up within him.

He didn’t immediately run off. Instead, he stood his ground, looking toward the direction of the main gate, seemingly torn between making a swift escape or seeking revenge first.

But Lysander’s cries were quick to draw the attention of the neighbors. The thief had no choice but to react swiftly, moving directly to restrain her. He forcefully covered her mouth and pinned her entire body against the wall.

In the darkness of the night, Lysander leaned against the chilling wall, her whole body shivering from the

cold.

With a thunderous rumble, another clap of thunder exploded in the pitch–black night.

At last, Lysander could clearly see the face of the person before her.

With small eyes and a square–shaped face, his long hair shrouded half of her visage. The terror etched on his features, combined with the forceful grip on her, made his appearance somewhat distorted and frightening.

Suddenly, she noticed an unusual spark in this man’s eyes.

He had initially been glaring at her fiercely, but now, aided by the incessant flashes of lightning and thunder outside the window, not only did she get a clear view of the man, but he also got a clear view of her.

Due to her sleep, her hair was let loose, and the recent entanglement had left it slightly disheveled. She was only wearing a thin nightgown, which had been ripped open at the neckline during the earlier skirmish. The left strap had fallen down, hanging loosely over her upper arm.

Almost her entire left shoulder was exposed.

The man’s gaze was sharp, slicing across her face with precision before trailing down her neck, finally resting on her left side, barely covered by her nightgown.

I can describe your physical features to the police. A quick check of the surveillance footage and finding you won’t be difficult. If you try to escape punishment by killing me, it’s the same.
