When Tania was with Peter before, Zara had treated her as though she were her own daughter. Tania had grown up without a mother's love. Even after returning to the Hoffmans, her relationship with Nancy never truly felt like that of a mother and daughter. By then, she was already an adult and married to Peter, which made it even harder for her to feel close to Nancy.
