I’m in my office the next morning when there’s a knock at my door. I look up and see the woman who has caused me all sort of angst standing there. “Hey Jordan, I know you’re getting ready for the Alpha meeting, but could I trouble you for a moment?” Taylor says.

“Sure, Tay, come on in,” I say, already pretty sure I know what this is about.

She comes and sits down across from my desk.

“I did talk to Jace yesterday and I made a list of the people that it could be,” I say, handing the list to her.

She looks at it a moment, then looks up at me. “I hope that what happened between me and Jace didn’t affect our relationship too much. We never had sex, although I’m sure you know that by now.
