They tended to his flesh and skin wounds while applying bandages to his legs. Jeremy’s face was pale, and there were glistening beads of sweat on his forehead due to the pain.

He had been with Jeremy for many years and had never seen him beaten up like that before. Jeremy might be able to endure that suffering, but Tommy could not bear to deal with it.
