Seeing the waiter coming in to take Lilin away, Corinne loosened her grip on the little girl's arm and let the waiter lead her out.

After that, everyone told Corinne not to risk her own life to save strangers in the future and went back to eating.

However, Corinne was still skeptical about the whole thing. Lilin was obviously not a stupid child. In fact, she seemed intelligent and well-spoken. How could she not know where her table was? Something was fishy.

Just as she was thinking about it, she noticed Benjamin was sneaking out of the door when no one was paying attention.

She frowned but did not stop him. Instead, she calmly observed him, got up, and followed him out.

When Benjamin heard the waiter who had just come to pick up Lilin say that her family was in the lobby downstairs, he guessed that Jeremy might be among them. He wanted to go down and have a look. After he slipped out, he quickened his pace to chase the waiter and Lilin. In his haste, however, he missed a step and almost fell down.

Fortunately, someone behind him caught him in time.

He turned and was about to thank the person who caught him
