Melody pretended not to have heard anything and turned to look out of the window.

Lucas suppressed his annoyance and patiently said, "Melody, I'm talking to you."

Melody turned her head slightly, but quickly turned it back. 'How could he ask me that when he was the one going with Stella to meet with Mister Shaun!' It was as if she was the one in the wrong.

Lucas' patience had run out by then. He had taken the initiative to speak to her twice, but both times he was ignored.

"Stop the car," he ordered.
