Lucas did not return the entire night, and Melody was unsure how she eventually fell asleep.

Lucas had departed without informing Melody, which greatly displeased Beatrice. However, she concealed her anger in Melody's presence. Adding discord to their already-delicate relationship would not be a wise choice.
