Originally, Rita's investigation was just scratching the surface. They just never expected that a small reporter like her would uncover the truth about their development of that land years ago.

"Sherman, stop the car here. I saw a donut vendor on the roadside. It's been so long since I've had them, and I kind of miss the taste," said Claire.

Sherman hesitated. "I don't think it's a good idea to stop here. It's so crowded, so you might be recognized. Neither of us will be able to leave then."

"Why are you being so cautious right now? It's just a quick stop for me to buy some donuts. If you're worried about being recognized, just park the car a bit farther away! Besides, I haven't been out for fun in a long time. I can't even indulge in these treats because I have to watch my figure. What harm would it do to fulfill my wish once?" Claire countered Sherman at a ratio of ten-to-one.

Feeling helpless, Sherman parked the car not far from the stall and got out to open the door for her. "I didn't say you couldn't. I'm just worried about you."

"I knew you always treat me the best," Claire said as if she did not mind the argument they had just had.
