The room fell into stunned silence as everyone exchanged bewildered glances.

However, this was somewhat expected.

Grant was the only son of Gregory's late first wife. The Salvador Corporation and the entire Salvador family should have been his by right. However, due to his health, his younger brother, Justin, had been given the opportunity to rise.

Now that Grant had recovered, he was clearly determined to reclaim what he had lost.

After all, Grant was the rightful eldest son of the Salvador family, and he clearly had Gregory's favor. It was evident that Grant would become a figure of significant influence, standing on equal footing with Justin in the future.

Allowing him to join the board was a small compromise. No one wanted to risk upsetting Gregory over something trivial.

Besides, many of them had resentments with Justin. Though he had led the corporation to great success, bringing them immense profits year after year, his rigid and straightforward personality made him unapproachable.

In the blink of an eye, nearly every board member raised their hand.

Only Justin remained unmoved. His gaze was lowered, his posture composed, and he showed no reaction. Grant's lips curled into a faint, almost imperceptible smirk as he observed Justin's calm, indifferent demeanor. Grant's eyes, cold and unfathomable, were like a shadowy, primeval forest, cloaked in mystery.
