As Kelly and Laney walked out of the manor, Kelly could sense the tension between Garrett and Vera.

Stepping forward, Kelly spoke on Vera’s behalf.

“Mr. Harding, it has nothing to do with Mrs. Harding. We had no idea that our business partners would suddenly come to visit. This wasn’t anticipated. You can’t blame your mother for it.”

Noticing Kelly’s eagerness to protect Vera, Garrett suspected that she was also involved. He looked at Kelly coldly.
