Upon leaving the hospital waiting room, Cedrick took Charles to the pediatric ward where Benedict was.

Gwendolyn was sleeping right beside Benedict’s bed.

She had been having a hard time because of the intense sex that night before boarding the plane. It was Cedrick’s massages that morning that made her waist and back feel much better.

Yet, the second she arrived in Salinsburgh, she found out about Benedict’s condition, which made her worry the entire day. Only Cedrick knew how tired she was.

He could not bring himself to wake her up, so he tiptoed over and draped a thin quilt over his wife’s slender shoulders.

Then, with great caution, he leaned over and planted a gentle kiss on her cheek.

Gwendolyn was so sound asleep that she did not stir.

Charles stood by the door and watched the entire scene. He lowered his blue eyes to hide his emotions.

When the two men exited Grand Valley Hospital, they went straight to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
