Chapter 335 Gideon's POV I think I stopped breathing, but I couldn't be entirely sure. I might have passed out for all I knew. Hell, maybe I even died during the fight, and the woman before me was an angel. But I knew it was her. She looked up, and the torchlight hit her face, and my wolf went wild. He just knew, all at once, the way he had always known, the way he had known from the very first moment ten years ago when we held each other in the forest on that dark night. It was Avery. Our mate. Her hair was different. Shorter, darker, cut close to her jaw.
