Chapter 283 As if on cue, a familiar voice called out softly "Gideon?" I quickly shoved the letter into my pocket, crumpling it, before Deirdre could see it. When I turned, I found her standing beneath a nearby tree, her hand pressed to the bark. She was swaying slightly, and her free hand was clutching her stomach. "What is it?" I asked. I wanted to demand information, but I forced myself to remain calm. If there was one thing I knew about Deirdre, it was that she knew what she was doing. She wouldn't give up information willingly.
