Chapter 220 I had found a few errors that could cause us some trouble down the line. A few accounts in arrears, or where the Luna had overcharged the villagers for centralized services. I had to spend some hours running around and re-issuing corrected statements. When that was done, I went to re-inventory our stores. It was late in the night by the time I made it, exhausted, back up the hill to the pack house. The light in Gideon's office was still on and the door was open. I was planning on dropping my report on his desk before turning in for the night in my apartment in the village.

With the pack meeting tomorrow, I would need to be well-rested... I was halfway down the hall when I could hear voices from Gideon's office. I hadn't realized that he had visitors, and I paused, not sure if I should continue on to give my report.
