The Man’s Decree

Chapter 2436 A Fascinating Statue

Jared was taken aback as he found himself standing in the secret realm of Divine Quest Sect.

Jared's astonishment grew as he witnessed the profound changes that had occurred in the secret realm. The familiar cave was no longer present, replaced instead by a sight that left him awestruck. In the center of the realm stood eight colossal statues, each reaching a height of approximately ten meters and exuding a peculiar aura.

“Jared...”

“Jared...”

Josephine and Renee hurried over the second they saw Jared.

Observing the women, Jared couldn't help but notice their plump appearance, indicating that they seemed to be leading prosperous lives within the secret realm.

“What happened to the secret realm?” he asked, pointing toward the imposing statues.

“These statues popped out of nowhere some time ago. We don't know much about them either,” Josephine replied.

Jared's gaze remained fixed on the statues before him. It was evident that these were the very same statues he had encountered in the cave, albeit now significantly larger in size.

As he shifted his gaze toward one of the statues, he couldn't help but sense a strangely familiar aura emanating from it.

“Why is my aura in this statue?” A frown etched itself on Jared's visage as he slowly approached the statue.

The familiar aura became more apparent when Jared touched the statue. Moreover, it seemed like a terrifying suction was sucking him inside.

In a moment of sheer disbelief, Jared's eyes widened as he noticed his hand had been drawn into the depths of the statue.
Jared was taken aback as he found himself standing in the secret realm of Divine Quest Sect.

Just as he was about to smash the statue, Josephine swiftly sprang into action. Leaping into the air with remarkable agility, she gracefully landed on the head of the statue. She gave it a gentle smack, causing the strange suction to instantaneously dissipate. The release of the suction freed Jared's hand from its grip.

“What is going on?” Jared asked as he stared at Josephine in shock.

“These statues correspond to each of the people here. As long as we can find our corresponding statue, we can enter it and control it from within,” Josephine answered as she approached a different statue and touched it.

In the blink of an eye, Josephine vanished from sight, as if she had been consumed by the statue she touched.

Jared's face drained of colors when he saw that. “Josephine!”

“Calm down, Jared. She's all right. There's no need to panic.” Renee swiftly moved to intercept the man's impulsive rush toward the statue.

Just then, the statue Josephine had entered radiated a brilliant golden light, seemingly infused with life.

The colossal figure, standing at about ten meters tall, moved with a weighty presence. Each step it took sent tremors through the ground, resembling a powerful earthquake.

After a brief moment, the statue emitted another brilliant golden light, and Josephine reappeared, causing the statue to come to a halt.

Jared stared at her in confusion. “How did you know you could control the statues?”

“We found out about it by chance, but we have no idea what they are used for,” Josephine muttered.
