The Man’s Decree

“Okay, I'll give it a try.” Viola made up her mind and decided to give it a try.

“Ms. Viola, I have a bottle of aphrodisiac. If Jared remains resistant, you can use it on him. He won't be able to resist you that way,” Ghaylen said, pulling out a bottle from his pocket.

Viola accepted the bottle from him as her cheeks turned pink in embarrassment. It felt embarrassing for her to take the initiative.

However, she had no choice but to go all out for Emerald Cauldron Sect's sake.

When Viola emerged from the cave, Jared was leaning against a tree, whistling in boredom.

He was taken aback to see Viola coming out alone. “Why are you out here? Where is Mr. Samoll?”

“Mr. Samoll has something else going on. It has been some time since I last walked around. Can you go on a walk with me?” Viola asked softly.

Jared was surprised to hear her soft voice. He had no idea why she had changed her attitude toward him.

As he remained silent, Viola pouted and added, “Why? Do you not want to go on a walk with me?”

Jared nearly lost his cool upon hearing her coy voice.

“Okay, let's go,” he agreed with a nod.

Jared and Viola walked through the forest together. Viola appeared to be filled with excitement as she took in the surroundings, likely due to having been confined to the cave for an extended period.

Taking in the wonder and joy on her face, he suddenly felt bad for her.

Despite her young age, she had been burdened with significant responsibilities. He wondered whether she had the capability to wrest Emerald Cauldron Sect from Hosen's control.

Suddenly, Viola asked, “Jared, after coming to Emerald Cauldron Sect and soaking in the medicinal pool, where are you planning to go next?”

Jared was caught off guard and unsure of how to respond.

His plate was already full with numerous tasks: locating the Divine Bow, rescuing Josephine and the other women, searching for Infinides to save Ira, and journeying to Fire Incineration Sect to save the leader of Divine Smithing Sect. Explaining any of these matters to Viola would be a complex endeavor.

As he remained silent, Viola quickly offered a reassuring smile and pressed on, “If it's too complicated to explain, don't worry about it. I actually have another question for you. What are your thoughts on Emerald Cauldron Sect? We're the sole alchemy-focused sect within a thousand-mile radius, earning respect from numerous other sects. Moreover, we've established collaborations and acquired abundant resources. Would you be interested in having access to all these resources?” Viola fixed her gaze on him, her eyes filled with a hint of fondness.
