“Master, you can't break this Mountain Defense Formation!” Sigurd hastily said.

“What's the matter? How am I to bring the men in if I don't break it?” Hosen asked, perplexed.

“Master, Emerald Cauldron Sect will eventually be yours. Anything you break in Emerald Cauldron Sect will be akin to destroying your own possessions. Do you know how many resources we had to use to create this Mountain Defense Formation? If you destroy it now, you may not have the same resources to rebuild a similar one after becoming the sect leader. Even if you do, how much resources do we need to spend on that? If Helius finds out that you've ruined the Mountain Defense Formation, what will he think?”

Sigurd's barrage of questions baffled Hosen.

In fact, when Helius' name was mentioned, Hosen paled.

Although he had brought the men from Norwal City with him and was fearless of everyone from Emerald Cauldron Sect, he was still afraid of Helius.

After all, Helius was a cultivator who had achieved Eighth Level Body Fusion Realm. If they were to alert Helius to this, they would be all doomed.

Upon realizing that Hosen had believed him, Sigurd swiftly provided him with more reasons.

Hosen nodded fervently. He turned to Zsolt and said, “General Kinsley, stop! Stop right now! Stop breaking the formation...”

“What's wrong, Mr. Holt?”

Zsolt was evidently displeased by the interruption.

“General Kinsley, I have a way to take back Emerald Cauldron Sect without any casualties, so don't break the formation first. All you need to do is stand here and instill terror in the others. They will certainly be scared out of their wits to see you in person, and they'll surrender,” Hosen uttered, flattering Zsolt. After all, Zsolt was from Norwal City, and it was unlikely that the other man would heed his words even if Hosen tried to order him around.

Sure enough, Hosen's flattery worked. Zsolt waved his hand, resummoning the runes back to himself.

Hosen went back to Sigurd. “Sigurd, quickly head back with Ghaylen. You must capture Ebenez alive and not let him run away from this place.”

“Don't worry, Master. Mr. Erdell won't see this coming. We've planned everything out.” Sigurd nodded and reassured Hosen before subtly giving Ghaylen a look.

Ghaylen chimed in, “Hosen, wait for our good news.”
