The Man’s Decree

Chapter 2740 Trap

In Imperial Beast City, Tigerus was released from the water dungeon.

He organized a banquet in his residence and invited Yuven and Ivasha for dinner.

“You punished Tigerus, so why is he inviting us for dinner, Dad? Doesn't he hold a grudge against you?” Ivasha asked in puzzlement.

“Perhaps he realized he was wrong and wanted to apologize by inviting us to a meal,” Yuven answered.

Ivasha frowned. “I think Tigerus has changed. Also, Xandros left without so much as greeting us!”

“All right, don't be so paranoid. Tigerus has been my subordinate for years. I know what kind of person he is. He's just a brute devoid of any schemes. Otherwise, I wouldn't have allowed him to keep his position as general for years. That's a very important position, you know. I doubt anything will happen during our meal.” Yuven smiled.

“I hope so. I can't help but think it's a trap.”

Yuven laughed. “What trap? This is Imperial Beast City! Do you think anyone will dare to harm me here?”

He was confident that no one would dare to lay a finger on him in his own territory.

Ivasha kept quiet. Perhaps I was overthinking it and that Tigerus isn't harboring any ill intentions.
In Imperial Beast City, Tigerus was released from the water dungeon.

Yuven brought Ivasha to Tigerus' residence.

Tigerus had been waiting at the entrance. When he spotted Yuven and Ivasha, he welcomed them excitedly.

“I'm happy that you accepted my invitation, Your Majesty. I was afraid you weren't coming because you were upset with me,” said Tigerus humbly.

“That's not the case at all! You've been my subordinate for years. I'm familiar with your personality. I know you're rash, but you should consider the consequences when you do something in the future.” Yuven patted Tigerus' shoulder.

“I will keep this in mind, Your Majesty. Please, come in.” Tigerus gestured for his guests to enter.

Ivasha and Yuven arrived in the dining room and spotted a table full of dishes.

Tigerus enthusiastically entertained his guests. Yuven was so delighted that he drank some alcohol with Tigerus.

Ivasha was wary about the whole situation at first, but she soon lowered her guard when she saw that nothing was going on.

After the meal, Yuven and Ivasha left Tigerus' residence.

It wasn't until Ivasha arrived back in the palace that her heart was completely put at ease.

“See? I told you nothing would happen. Tigerus is a loyal man. He won't harm me. You should head to sleep now. Goodnight!” said Yuven before he staggered back to his room.
