The Mysterious Billionaire

After sitting in the car for a moment, Paige felt a lot better. She was about to leave when her phone rang. It was Ethan.

"Paige, are you free now? I want to apologise to you personally for what happened before."

Paige was annoyed once she heard Ethan's voice. However, she had to go since he wanted to apologise. She wanted to have a good look of Ethan's arrogant personality, just like how he had threatened her before.

Soon, they met in a cafe. Paige was preparing to record their conversation on her phone. After all, she had completely lost her trust in Ethan, that jerk. In case anything happened, the recording could be used as a piece of evidence.

Paige was half an hour late to arrive at the scheduled time. Surprisingly, Ethan was patiently waiting for her. Upon seeing her arrival, he immediately plastered a smile and said, "Come here, I've ordered you your favourite drink."

Paige sat down and disregarded the drink on the table that Ethan had ordered for her.

Instead, she called the waiter and said, "Give me a cup of cappuccino!"

However, Ethan wasn't angry towards her actions at all. After the waiter left, he began to act according to his plan.

"Paige, I'm really sorry! I sincerely apologise to you for what I've done previously. I hope you can forgive me."

Paige picked up the coffee and took a sip.

Seeing that she remained unmoved, Ethan continued to say.

"Paige, I am extremely regretful and ashamed about what happened last time. The reason why I was with Sophia was that I was schemed by her and it was all part of her plan. That night she called me and said that she has something to tell me, sol went to see her. She showed me the evidence of you having an abortion in the hospital and accused you of having an affair with several men. I was very upset and furious, so I drank many glasses of wine that night. But when I woke up afterward, that's when I found out that she and I were together."

Paige narrowed her eyes and looked at Ethan indifferently. Surprisingly, she was emotionless and didn't have the slightest anger in her just like how she did before.

Her cold reaction made Ethan felt a little guilty. Shouldn't Paige be furious when she heard this?

However, why wasn't she angry? He was completely clueless and caught off guard by her, but he had no other choice but to continue with his pointless crap.
