Liam comforted her while she cried. Just then, the sound of footsteps resounded in the corridor, and Paige appeared at the ward.

Upon seeing her arrival, Liam glared at her and scolded, "You unfilial daughter, look at what you did to Sophia!"

"It wasn't me who harmed her, she fell all by herself!" Paige argued.

"Paige, Sophia is already in this state, you can't just deny responsibilities like that," Isabella chimed in.

"Let me repeat myself, I did not touch her. It was she who rushed over and fell!"

"Sophia is so gentle and kind. She can't even bear to trample on ants. How could she pick a fight with you? You're lying through your teeth," Isabella would never admit the truth and immediately refuted.

"What? How could a kind person be so shameless and snatch away other people's man?"

Upon seeing Liam's fierce gaze, Paige knew that he sided with Isabella. Therefore, it was no use for her to defend herself.

"I didn't, but I know clearly that it was you who beat her up first." Isabella suddenly switched over her innocent look and became aggressive.

"Liam, I wasn't feeling well today and Sophia took care of me at home. Suddenly, Paige came back, and so Sophia went out to have a look. I didn't know what happened. I only heard voices of Paige scolding her. Later, I heard Sophia shouting for help, so I quickly ran out. By then, Sophia was already lying helplessly on the floor and covered in blood. She was on the verge of death…" Isabella sobbed so hard that she choked on her words. Upon hearing this, Liam was burning in fury and almost had the urge to beat Paige up.

Abbie, who remained silent throughout the conversation, suddenly came out from behind Paige and stopped Liam, "Uncle Anderson, calm down. Let's talk about it!"

Seeing Abbie, Liam immediately retreated his hand and said, "What's there more to say? Miss Cook, I know that you have a good relationship with this bloody girl, but this is our family's internal affairs. I hope you won't meddle in it."

Paige took out a copy of the video recording and showed them, "Look, this is the surveillance video outside our villa. Please take a closer look at it on how Sophia got hurt!"
