Paige didn't sleep well that night as she had been having nightmares. In her dreams, people bullied her, so she cried helplessly to no avail.

Paige felt a hand wiping away her tears gently in a daze. She felt like she had found something to lean on. It was like the hand was her support system and she was nestling in his arms.

Joseph smiled when he saw she was onto his arm and he refused to let go. He lowered his head and gently kissed Paige's face.

She reached out to hug his waist and nestled in his arms. Soon, she fell asleep again.

The next morning, Paige opened her eyes and she felt that something was wrong. Her head seemed to be buried under something.

She stiffly raised her head, and what came into her sight was a magnified handsome face.

Joseph looked at her with a gentle smile, "You're awake?"

Paige looked at Joseph in a daze. After a while, she came to her senses and she pushed Joseph away.

Joseph extended his arm and pulled Paige back. She then struggled hard, "Don't touch me! Joseph Dawson!"

"My love, I know why you're angry. It's because you saw me at the Dawson Group's entrance while arguing with Elizabeth right?"

"How do you know that?"

"A little birdy told me," Joseph held Paige's waist tightly, "I can explain, listen to me."

"Okay, I'll give you a chance to explain! Let go of me and talk properly!"

"Well, you have to promise me to not get angry. I'll tell you everything."

"Okay!"

Joseph let go of Paige and reached out his hand to touch his head. Joseph was no longer care-free and suave, instead, he looked a little awkward.

He looked at Paige, who avoided his eyes, and he coughed, "Well, actually, I'm not a gigolo from the nightclub."

"What are you if you're not a gigolo?"

"My name is Joseph Dawson, Charles's younger brother."

"What? You're Joseph? You're that Dawson family's swinger..." Paige immediately covered her mouth.

Hearing Paige called him the Dawson family's swinger, Joseph started to turn casual. He looked at her with a faint smile, "Yes, that's me."

Paige glared at him, "Then why did you lie to me? Why didn't you tell me?"

"I've told you that I'm not a gigolo. You're so fixated on calling me that though. I couldn't do anything about it, so I let you be."

"That's not a reason. You are deceiving me and I hate it when people lie to me."
