Chapter 1 He Was Slumdog Millionaire?
In front of the Huading Tower of Qingyang City, Josh stood there with a smile on his face and two movie tickets were in his hand.
At that moment, a man and a woman came out of the building. The man was wearing a suit, with a Jens Stanton watch on his wrist and a BMW key pinned to his waist, while the woman was hot and very pretty. They two were talking happily.
"Faye!" When Josh saw her, he walked towards her with a smile on his face.

The man in the suit next to him furrowed his brow, "You have boyfriend? Faye, I thought you said you didn't have a boyfriend?"

Then the man in the suits looked Josh up and down with a disdainful smile.
"Faye, why do you have such a bumpkin for a boyfriend? He must be poor by the way he's dressed." Shaw said.

"Faye, let's go!"

“Shaw is right. You’re just a bumpkin. You can't afford to buy me the phone and bag I like. You don't even have the money as to watch a movie. I don't trust you to make me happy."
"Faye, I'm poor now, but I'll work hard, and you’ll live a rich life finally." Josh said.
"Your promise is a just a joke. Your family has no money, no power and no background. Even if you work hard all your life, you won't be as rich as Shaw." Faye sneered.
"You're not even qualified to be my maid." Shaw said sarcastically.
"Josh, I have to say that you're not good enough for me. Today, I’ll break up with you." Faye spoke firmly.
Then Faye turned to Shaw and smiled, “Let’s go."
With that, Faye took the initiative to take Shaw's arm. He looked at Josh with a disdainful smile, "You don't deserve to have love, understand!"
Afterwards, Shaw Wu and Faye headed to a BMW not far away and drove off.
Watching Faye's back as he walked away, Josh was sad, angry, yet helpless.
"I'm poor, so our two-year relationship ends?" Josh said to himself.
Josh kept his head down. His hands squeezed so tightly in his fists that his nails sunk into his palms.
Josh and Faye met in high school. At the end of their junior year of high school, they confirmed their relationship. At that time Faye was nice and simple girl.
After graduation, Josh got into a local college and Faye entered the workforce when she didn't make it to college. Since then, Faye had changed. She became a gold-digger.
Josh didn't go after Faye, nor did he try to keep her. He knew he was poor. He didn't have the confidence to compete with Shaw for Faye.
