Facing more than a dozen members of the beast race, the couple turned deathly pale, despair creeping up on their faces.

The two of them stepped back, hiding their daughter behind them. The couple was immensely nervous but they were ready to fight until their last breath.

"It looks like we will die here today," the woman said.

Her eyes expressed how she had already resigned to fate, that she would die today

The man was sincerely apologetic as he looked at Austin, Fletcher and Shepard.
