Chapter 200: Back

​Scarlett’s POV

​The wheels of the private jet finally hit the tarmac of the Full Moon Pack’s private runway with a heavy thud. The familiar, chilly mountain air crept into the cabin the second the doors swung open.

​We had arrived.

​I took a deep breath, composing myself as I stood up from my seat. Liam was already on his feet, his massive frame blocking the aisle as he waited for me. The moment I stepped near him, his hand shot out, his fingers wrapping firmly around my wrist. His grip wasn’t painful, but it was entirely unyielding.

His jaw was clenched tight, his gaze sweeping the tree line like he expected an ambush at any second. Leo followed quietly at the back of the group, his face completely pale and unreadable, his eyes fixed firmly on the ground. The panic radiating off him was still pulsing through the air, but he was doing his best to swallow it down.

​Waiting for us on the runway were three sleek SUV pack vehicles, surrounded by a dozen elite pack warriors. The moment they saw us descend the stairs, the warriors bowed their heads in deep respect.
