Chapter 210: No Longer A Virgin

Scarlett’s POV

The ride back to the pack house was a blur of heavy silence and shifting gears. Liam’s hand stayed firmly over mine the entire way, his thumb stroking the back of my knuckles as if he couldn’t bear to break the physical connection. When we finally walked through the front doors, the mansion was dead quiet. The shadows of the hallway felt thick, but the crushing weight of his brothers’ jealousy had finally faded into the night.

Liam escorted me all the way to my bedroom door. He turned to face me, his dark eyes soft and completely filled with an emotion I hadn’t seen in him for five long years. Emotions that made my knees buckle.

"I had an incredible time tonight, Scarlett," he murmured, his voice dropping into that smooth, romantic baritone that always made my knees weak. "Thank you for giving me today."

He leaned in slowly, pressing a soft, lingering kiss to the corner of my mouth, making my breath hitch. He pulled away just an inch, only to press another sweet kiss to my forehead, then to my flushed cheek, and finally down to the sensitive skin of my neck.

Fuck.

The sensation sent a violent jolt of pure lightning straight down my spine. I couldn’t take it anymore. The fake walls I had built up all day crumbled into dust. I wanted him. I wanted to feel exactly how he tasted, and God, I wanted him inside me right now.
