Evan watched silently, hesitant to use something of unknown origin on his eyes.

Reuben took the bottle of cow’s tears from Benjamin. “Just put it on the eyes, right?”

Reuben opened the bottle, poured some onto his palm, and applied it to his eyes.

“Go outside,” Benjamin reminded.

Reuben followed the instructions, heading outside. As he was about to step out, he noticed a face at the

It was the face of an elderly woman who appeared to be around 60 years old. She had a noticeable wound on her forehead, with blood seeping from it.

Despite his courage, Reuben was startled by the sight and took a few steps back, accidentally bumping
