CHAPTER 633 LOLA AMAZES THE AUDIENCE

This wench had stolen my spotlight! I can't take this. I had a lot of old grudges with Skylar and Valerie, too. How could I like their daughter?

With these thoughts running through her head, Belinda impatiently said, "Other children are waiting. Don't waste everyone's time pretending to be sweet and innocent here. We play fair. If your singing is bad, it doesn't matter how nice you try to come across."

Skylar and Yulia felt a little upset upon hearing Belinda's words.

How on earth could Belinda do this as a judge? Lola just followed what her teachers and Valerie had taught her, to greet everyone when she went on stage. The little one has always been polite and sweet at home; how could that be considered acting? Nowadays, is being polite considered acting? Is Belinda taking revenge on her personal grievances by abusing her power as a judge?

Naturally, Lola's family and fans were incensed.

Lola, who stood on stage, was stunned. She retracted the greeting she had prepared for the audience.

She said directly into the microphone, "The song I'm going to perform is 'Nameless'. It was written by Dad. I love it very much. I hope everyone will like it too."

With that being said, Lola started singing into the microphone.

This song was originally composed by Skylar and later had lyrics added by Valerie. It was not officially released, and the organizers were unable to locate the accompaniment, so Lola was forced to perform a cappella.

Unlike other songs, "Nameless" was more suitable for a cappella. It had a soul-penetrating impact. The song gave a different sensation when combined with Lola's slightly childish voice. It seemed to bring a glimmer of hope to the desolate battlefields of the North.

For a moment, the entire audience was immersed in Lola's innocent and pure voice. Many of Lola's fans were unable to control their tears after hearing her voice.

Halfway through the song, Lola's childish voice disappeared. A lengthy and ethereal melody took its place. It was still the same song "Nameless", but it felt like a different song.

Lola held a green leaf and placed her hands on either side of her mouth. A string of melodies came from that leaf.

The melody has an ethereal zither-like quality as well as somber oboe tones. It seemed to be a song which belonged from the distant past and slowly approached the audience along with the sound of hooves from ancient times.

Everyone was so shocked that they were at a loss for words. They felt as if half a century had passed, yet it also felt like only a moment had passed.

The enchanting melody gradually disappeared. Lola removed the leaf from her mouth and bowed to everyone.

The applause erupted from the audience seats. The audience had eventually recovered their composure and thunderous applause erupted.
