Sophia sighed and grabbed Leah’s hand. “Look at you! Your thinking is all wrong! I’ve already told you that if you want to get along with the kids, you have to get to know them first. If you can’t even have a conversation or meet them face-to-face, how can you establish any kind of relationship?”

Right now, the last thing Leah wanted was to face those two kids. They were like ticking time bombs who might say anything at any time, potentially ruining all her plans.

But with Sophia already having said so much, it wouldn’t be right for her to refuse.

She had no choice but to nod reluctantly. “I’ll listen to you. I’ll try my best to get them to accept me sooner.”

“Good. I’ll go and talk to the kids first then.”

After watching Sophia turn and leave, Leah felt like she was on a roller coaster ride.

Knowing that Emmett had allowed her to move into his room made her feel so overjoyed that she could literally have jumped for joy.
