Elisa was dumbstruck.

For a moment, Elisa didn't know what to say.

He's right…

Ever since she and Gareth divorced, things might have changed.

Grandma constantly defended her, but Grandpa always looked down on her. It even made Grandpa and Grandma quarrel more frequently.

Elisa pursed her lips and didn't say a word.

She felt that she had to make things clear to Grandma this time. She didn't want Grandma to spend so much energy on her at such an old age.

They were about to arrive at their destination, and Gareth wasn't as silent as he had been. He suddenly stopped the car before the next corner.

Elisa's gaze froze slightly as she looked at the man before her.

Gareth put one hand on the steering wheel as he turned to look at Elisa. Scorn was intertwined in his icy gaze.

Elisa frowned and didn't say anything, seeming like she was waiting for him to speak.

Gareth looked at her and said frostily, "Are you Rene Caovilla?"

His few words seemed like he was questioning her, but uncontrollable anger was tangled in his voice.

"What does it have to do with you?" Elisa said without thinking. It was mainly because she didn't want to tell Gareth too much.

But…

It confirmed Gareth's thoughts.

She is Rene Caovilla.

The rage in Gareth's eyes burned brightly, and he grabbed her wrist. Elisa didn't notice, and it was too late to struggle.

Her brows furrowed tightly, and she struggled in vain. She looked at Gareth unhappily, "What are you doing?"

"How much did you hide from me, Elisa Benett?!"

Fury was entwined in Gareth's voice as though he couldn't control it. Even the veins on his forehead protruded.

His sharp gaze was directed at her face. His aggressive and questioning attitude made Elisa's brows furrow and tighten.

Elisa couldn't free herself from him, so she simply gave up and let him hold her wrist. She sneered, "You've asked me this many times, Mr. Wickam. Do you think it's important?"
