We Are Not Getting Remarried: Show Yourself Out

Elisa smiled. "Nothing. A colleague called and said the matter was settled, so I returned."

Julia was surprised and did not expect Elisa would come back.

"That's awesome! You can spend more time with me."

Elisa approached Julia with a smile and held her arm. "Yeah, I can stay with you the whole day." She cooed.

Julia was on cloud nine and beamed from ear to ear. "Sure!"

While saying that, she was about to get Elisa to sit on the couch. But before Elisa sat down, Julia suddenly said, "Come and chat with me in my room."

Julia wanted to talk privately with Elisa and ask about her plan. They might be unable to speak freely in the living room as other people were around.

Elisa checked the time. Thinking that Gareth would not return so soon, she nodded and went upstairs with Julia.

Despite being advanced in age, Julia was agile with the stairs, so she did not stay in a room downstairs.

The original plan was to let Julia move to a room downstairs when she had difficulty climbing the stairs.

Soon, the two arrived at Julia's room. Elisa smiled gently as she sat down with Julia on the couch.

Almost half an hour later, Gareth came.

When Julia saw Gareth, her smile was dismissed at once. "What brings you here again?"

Elisa was speechless. In fact, she did not wish for Gareth to come, but she just wanted to ensure Julia was fine.

Perceiving Elisa's gaze, Gareth looked at Julia and said calmly, "The doctor scheduled for your checkup appointment tomorrow has an urgent meeting, so the checkup is rescheduled to today."

"What?" Julia was displeased. "You must be kidding me!"

It was rare for Elisa to visit her, so Julia was extremely reluctant to leave.

"The checkup is not important. I'm not sick anyway. I'll skip the checkup this week and do it next week." Julia said casually and looked toward Elisa. "Don't mind him, Elisa. Just stay here. It's just a checkup, so there's no issue skipping it once."

Elisa's eyes flickered as she smiled. "Grandma, you should go for the checkup."
