We Are Not Getting Remarried: Show Yourself Out

Jeremy was dumbstruck.

He turned to look at the man beside him and touched the tip of his nose. Although Gareth didn't admit it, his body language was honest. Gareth must have stayed at her house and refused to leave.

If Vincent had been here, he would have walked to Gareth and given Gareth a thumbs-up behind his back.

Julia was also astounded. "Ah? The two of you…?"

Julia suddenly didn't dare finish her sentence, but her eyes were filled with endless astonishment and expectation. She stared at Elisa and waited for Elisa to finish her sentence.

Have the two of them reconciled?!

Julia couldn't entirely control the smile in the corner of her mouth. She was just waiting for Elisa to speak.

Elisa's gaze flickered slightly, and she smiled. "Grandma…"

She said nothing else as if she didn't know how to say it. This made Julia more astonished. "Have the two of you reconciled?!"

Julia knew Jeremy was Gareth's good friend, so Julia didn't care and asked directly.

Elisa's eyes flashed a little, but before she could say anything, Gareth said, "You're getting an injection today, Grandma."

"Huh?" Julia had been waiting for Elisa to reply, but Gareth suddenly changed the topic. It gave Julia a shock.

She turned to look at Gareth and said slightly disbelievingly, "I'm doing excellent. Why do I need an injection?"

"If you're excellent, why would I give you an injection?" Gareth said earnestly as if talking about something completely ordinary.

Everyone in the family knew.

Julia disliked and feared… injections!

She was afraid of injections. She would constantly lose her head when her blood had to be drawn during her weekly physical examinations, but she still cooperated. Although she was used to it… she resisted a sudden additional injection.

Elisa laughed lightly. "Are you afraid, Grandma?"

Julia immediately put on a straight face and pretended to say bravely, "How can I be afraid? It's merely an injection. I just don't want to ruin my skin. I'm so old, but I have better skin than those thirty years younger than me. Won't an injection ruin my perfection?"

A painful sensation suddenly streaked across Elisa's heart. Grandma is such a good person. Why is she inflicted with this illness?

But Elisa could only pretend to laugh and say, "That's right. Since you're not afraid, Grandma, you should cooperate and get the injection."
