Her words prompted Elisa to chuckle.

"Are you threatening me by telling me all about the consequences? Were you talking about the consequences I would face if I hurt you? Or are you reminding yourself about the consequences?"

Nicole looked into Elisa's eyes. Elisa was smiling, but the smile did not meet her eyes.

Her eyes flickered, and she breathed in before saying, "Threaten? I was only telling the truth."

"In that case, I really should give it a try." Elisa sneered and gripped the dagger. However, as she was about to press it against Nicole…

Suddenly…

'Bang!'

Someone kicked open the door from outside.

Then, a few fierce and burly men barged into the room, charging at Elisa without hesitation.

Elisa was shocked and immediately dodged them. She no longer had the time to be bothered with Nicole.

Nicole's eyes flashed maliciously.

Thank goodness I prepared in advance. Otherwise, Elisa would have destroyed my face!

Still, Nicole did not dare to move.

She ordered her subordinates. "One of you go get me a doctor!"

At Nicole's words, one of the burly men surrounding Elisa went out and did as she ordered.

Even so, Elisa was vastly outnumbered.

She knocked out one, but another immediately stepped in to take his place. The prolonged fight challenged her stamina.

Nicole stared at Elisa coldly, "Elisa, we could have gotten along peacefully, but you insisted on forcing my hands. You have only yourself to blame for this."

Elisa smiled vaguely. "Stop feigning innocence. Why would you arrange this if you did nothing wrong?"

She focused on her attackers as she said that.

Nicole smiled. "One should always be on guard against harm. Don't tell me you don't know such basic things."

She said those words gleefully. Then, she noticed how slowly her subordinates approached Elisa, prompting her to frown slightly and scold, "What's with the snail's pace? Can't you move faster?"

The burly men were rendered speechless.

Snail pace?

They were all trained in martial arts and had buffed bodies. Yet, even their joint effort was insufficient to defeat Elisa. Was it because they were too slow? No, it was Elisa who was too powerful.

However, no one was willing to admit it as it would be too humiliating.
