Julia snorted coldly and expressed her thoughts.

But in reality, whether Julia attended had nothing to do with Elisa. Elisa and Gareth were divorced, and the two were no longer involved with each other.

Elisa was only helping because of her affection for Julia.

However, Elisa spoke nicely to Julia. "Grandma, I'm swamped and can't return. I'll visit you when I'm back, alright? I'll call you when I'm free. Sometimes when you call, it's not that Gareth and I deliberately ignore you. It's that we are occupied with other things."

She seemed to be explaining things to Julia, but actually, Julia didn't call them much. Furthermore, when she did, she could almost always reach them.

She couldn't quite keep her composure when she heard what Elisa said.

But if she could play matchmaker by trying her luck, she would do it!

"Mm. Go ahead. I'll wait for you to come back." Julia didn't say anything else. She quickly hung up after that.

Gareth didn't say much during the call.

Julia's intentions were clear. Gareth was also honest.

Elisa didn't want to discuss it with him any longer. "The man with Nicole is a Fawler. Whether you go back or not, you have to release him."

After all, they were in a foreign land. It was better not to make trouble.

Gareth didn't plan on releasing Aaron. He sneered coldly. "Do you think I'm scared, Elisa?"

He wasn't afraid.

But it wasn't good to be in too much trouble.

Elisa didn't want to say anything else when she saw Gareth's attitude. "Since you're so fearless, don't listen to me. Just stay away from me!"

Elisa pushed him away coldly.

Gareth wrinkled his brows, and his expression was faintly impatient. "Do you dislike me so much?"

"Should I not dislike you? Gareth Wickam, you have your plans, and I have my ways. I'm not underestimating you. I just don't want to become entangled with you."

"You're in no place to care about what I do. Even if you were, I could turn you down as coldly as you did to me, right?"

"So you're holding a grudge?"

The two argued and bickered with each other. Ultimately, Gareth frowned, and his expression grew impatient and icy.

Elisa smiled. "So what if I am? I lived like that for the three years we were married, and all you gave me were divorce papers. Do you think I have no complaints?"

"Watch out!"

Gareth pushed Elisa forcefully, and in that instant, he seemed to lose his balance and fall on Elisa.
