The news hit Avery like a ton of bricks. She was in a panicked frenzy.

“Doctor, what if I don’t want to keep the baby?”

The doctor looked thoughtfully at Avery, then said, “Why don’t you want it? Do you have any idea how many people can’t have babies even if they wanted to?”

Avery lowered her gaze as she fell silent.

Avery’s brows furrowed.
