Wooing My Ex-Wife

Chapter 477 Let The Torment Begin

Cedrick looked up and shot him an icy–cold glare before tossing a mission list at him.

Craig simply stood there and let the piece of paper hit his abdomen before sliding to the floor.

“Take a look at this,” Cedrick said.

Feeling confused, Craig picked up the mission list and read through it in detail.

“This is a list of missions that I went on over the past three months. What is the meaning of this, Mr. Jenson?”

Cedrick put the cigarette down on the desk before asking sternly, “Your attendance this month was half of the last two months. Don’t you think you owe me an explanation?”

Craig knew that the man was deliberately trying to pick a fight with him, so he had no choice but to suppress his anger as he explained, “Jennifer was sick, so I went back home a lot to look after her.”

“Excuses!” Cedrick yelled sternly while picking up an ashtray from the desk and hurling it at Craig’s head.

Craig instinctively moved his head aside to dodge the incoming ashtray, which grazed his earlobe before falling onto the rug on the floor.

There was a loud thud upon impact, but the ashtray did not break.

“Hmm?”

Cedrick knitted his eyebrows in displeasure from behind the desk, as the depths of his eyes emitted a bone–chilling coldness, serving as an ominous warning sign that he was about to lose his temper.

Craig stared at the metallic sign on the desk with the word “Director” on it.

After taking a few seconds to suppress his anger, he picked up the ashtray and smashed himself in the head with it.

His forehead was instantly swollen from the impact, but there was no bleeding as it did not break the skin.

Cedrick was having a great time watching him suffer, his tormenting certainly did not stop at that. “Jennifer only returned to the Newton residence a week ago, and she was only there for about six to seven days. Your mission count, however, decreased in half. It’s obvious that you’re simply using her as an excuse for your laziness at work! How dare you try to brush me off with such a sh*tty excuse, Craig?”

Those words had barely left Cedrick’s mouth when he picked up a coffee cup and hurled it at Craig’s head. This time, Craig resisted the urge to dodge and took the blow head–on
