After hanging up the phone, Madeline threw a loose gown over her pajamas and hurried to the study room.

Sebastian didn't sound quite right. In fact, he sounded… sick.

She couldn't help but wonder if the reason he refused to go back to the room was because he was sick, and he didn't want to infect the children with the virus.

Before this, the first thing Sebastian would do every time he came home was look for the children.

It didn't matter where Quincy and Joel were; he would always go to them first when he got home, and only head off to do other things after he had seen them with his own eyes.

With that in mind, Madeline quickened her pace as she started to feel a little nervous. She was almost scampering to the study room.

After she knocked on the door and went into the room, she saw Sebastian sitting behind the desk. He had his elbows propped on the table as his palms covered his face.

Seeing how much discomfort he was in, Madeline grew even more panicked. "What's wrong? Where does it hurt? Why didn't you call a doctor over?" She asked one question after another.

Hearing that, Sebastian slowly removed his hands to uncover his flushed face.

Sure enough, she was so surprised she almost jumped. "Why is your face so red? Do you have a fever?"

"I don't have a fever…" he said while holding her hand. Even though his eyes looked hazy, they still looked bright, especially so under the lights in the room. He stared at her face with a burning gaze when he suddenly muttered, "I got roofied with that type of drug…”

"Roofied?" Madeline hesitantly repeated. "That type of drug?"

Sebastian's Adam's apple bobbed as he let out what sounded like a low laugh. "It is the type of drug that Luke Adams gave you…"

Madeline's face turned as red as a tomato the instant she heard those words.

Shortly after, she recovered when she realized that now was not the time for her to feel shy. She quickly asked him, "What should we do? Do you feel okay?"

"I am not okay…" Sebastian grabbed her by her hand and pulled her onto his lap before he started kissing her with his head lowered. He then spoke in a muffled voice. "I saved you when you were drugged then. It is about time you gave me tit for tat…"

Tit for tat? Is this the right situation for that?

But then, that wasn't the point.

The point was that…

Sebastian said that he needed her…

He needs me… Her body started to turn stiff as her face got even redder.

"Maddie..." His lips slid over her ear, and his voice sounded even more intoxicated. "We are a legally married couple, no? Don't you think that I, a man with a wife, should be praised and rewarded for keeping my chastity and coming home to my wife for relief after I fell for another woman's scheme?"

With his lean and strong arms wrapped around her body, she could feel herself stiffening up even more. "You… I… We..."

Madeline's head was in such a mess that she stammered and couldn't say a complete sentence.

"There is a problem now..." Sebastian's languid voice suddenly turned solemn. Hearing that, she asked, "What is it?"

"I am sure you won't agree to it because Aldo and Buddy are in our bedroom. So, are we doing it here, in the guest room, or are we taking the boys to the children's room?"

Ever since Sebastian and Madeline had become a married couple, he had wanted Quincy and Joel to sleep in the children's room. With how conservative Madeline was, Sebastian knew that she definitely would not show too much intimacy of a married couple when the children were present.

However, Joel seemed to have a trauma about being away from Madeline and sleeping in the children's room. The boy would always look at Sebastian with puppy eyes whenever he briefly brought it up, and it would take no more than a second for Sebastian to surrender.

As ridiculous as it might sound, that was why the family of four still shared a bed in the master bedroom even until now!

It didn't make sense for a second grader to still sleep in the same bed as his parents!

Sebastian convinced himself that he needed to find a way to make the children sleep in the children's room after tonight.

And this time, he swore he would not step down no matter what.

Madeline, on the other hand, was brainstorming for an answer to his question.

After a momentary pause, she hesitantly suggested, "How about… we head to the guest room?"

He immediately nodded in satisfaction. "Alright." After standing up, he picked her up and strode in the direction of the study room.

Startled, she yelped, "I can walk by myself!"

"Shh…" Sebastian chuckled. "Don't worry. This is the second floor. No one will come up without our instruction. You don't have to worry about being seen…"

Madeline felt speechless upon hearing that. Can I tell him that I am not afraid of being seen, it's just that I don't want him to carry me around? It does sound a little… odd, though. No. That is not right. Of course I am worried about being seen.

She knew how well rules were established in the Hart Family. No one would come up to the second floor if the masters of the house hadn't told them to.

But then again, all those weren't important.

The main point was that… Just when the hell did she agree to doing it with Sebastian?!

She suddenly came back to her senses and started stammering, "I-I haven't said yes!"

"But you did." He continued stalking toward the guest room with her in his arms. "I asked you to choose between the study, the master bedroom, or the guest room. You chose the guest room."

Madeline was rendered speechless yet again.

How can anyone give a multiple-choice question like that?

Shouldn't he have asked me if I wanted to do it instead?

The man is too cunning!
