How nice would it be if everything was back to those days? Isabel thought.

Isabel would still be that prestigious young lady of the Taylor Family who could get everything she wanted and be admired by everyone. Not like the loser that she was now. She had even changed her last name, and her biological father and two brothers who once loved her the most had all abandoned her.

Everything that Angie said was what Isabel dreamed of, so she was tempted by her words. Without much hesitation, she did what Angie suggested.

Angie said that everything would come to an end if Madeline and her two children died. She just needed to do things secretly, and let the police arrest the driver that hit Madeline and her two children. In the end, the police would not even find out it was her.

Isabel thought so too, and that driver was also introduced by Angie.

Angie told her that the driver had some skeletons in the closet, and he did not wish to live any longer since a long time ago. His mother was seriously ill, so he wanted to exchange his own life for his mother's medical expenses before he died. If she paid him enough, he would take responsibility for everything.

And no one would ever know that Isabel was a part of Madeline and her two children's deaths.

However, it was totally out of her expectation that Angie would lie to her. The police had found her right away.

She had just met the driver once when she paid him, but the police had already gotten the evidence to charge her with murder!

And did Angie not say that the driver wanted to die a long time ago, and that if she paid enough money, she could stay out of this mess and this incident would have nothing to do with her? So, why did that driver secretly record their conversation?

Now, that voice recording had become the proof for the police to arrest her and charge her, and she might even be sentenced to death!

Isabel was totally deceived by Angie! Angie was so sure and promised her that she just needed to pay the money and she would not have to worry about anything else. But now, the reality was totally different.

The idea was suggested by Angie, but she was the one imprisoned by the police!

While sobbing, Isabel told Sam everything and shouted in anger, "Angie did all this to me! She should be the one in here, and not me! Quickly get me out of here, Sam!"

Hearing that, Sam looked at her in silence and did not say a word for a long while as he did not know what to say anymore.

At this moment, he was even feeling a little grateful; grateful that his father found out about Phoebe and Bryan's conspiracy and was not taking Isabel as his daughter anymore. With that, his feelings for Isabel faded as well.

Otherwise, how upset would he feel when he found out that his beloved sister was this foolish? Luckily, his feelings for Isabel were not like those days anymore.

The reason he was still willing to meet her now was just that he was too soft-hearted and sentimental. He just could not bear to not come and see her.

As for his sibling's love for her—there was already not much left.

When Isabel saw that he was not saying anything, she asked in panic, "Why are you not talking? I've already told you the truth. I did this because Angie asked me to. She's the mastermind! Ask the police to arrest her and get me out of here!"

Hearing that, Sam sighed in resignation. "So, you're saying that you did all of this because Angie asked you to?"

"Yes. It's her!" Isabel quickly nodded. "She suggested the idea, and she's the one who introduced the driver to me too! She thought everything out. It has nothing to do with me!"

Just then, he asked, "Where's the proof? Do you have any proof?"

She was stunned. Proof? When Angie was telling her those things, there were only two of them in the room. So, from where could she find the proof?

"What about the money that you paid the driver?" He continued to ask. "Is that money yours or Angie's?"

"It's mine, but that's because Angie asked me to pay!" Isabel was so anxious that her face was turning red. "Believe me, Sam. She introduced the driver to me, and she also told me that I just needed to spend some money to let Madeline and her two children die! She was the one who suggested everything! It was her idea!"

"How can you prove that everything you said is the truth, and not a frame job?" Sam said. "The police need proof to investigate a case, and not just believe whatever you say. Also, it'll be of no use even when you have the proof. It will only mean that Angie is your accomplice. You still can't get away with it because you're the one who met the driver and paid him. No matter what, you won't be able to get away with it."
