Clayton understood each and every word that Justin told him, but when he pieced all the information together, it sounded bizarre. He was trying to make sense of what his nephew just said about Ava being Walter's daughter instead of Bryson's. Back then when his mother lost his niece, it wasn't an accident but a scheme planned by Penny and Walter?

He couldn't believe his ears. How could there be such a fool who would give up on her own daughter and raise someone else's daughter? On top of that, why would she purposely get someone to take her daughter away from her mother so that she wouldn't be blamed for losing the child?

That can't be! Only a cold-blooded brute would do such a thing!

"Penny, is it true that you gave up your own daughter to raise Walter's daughter? Did you really frame our mother for losing the child as well?" Clayton looked at Penny puzzledly and asked with disbelief. He refused to believe a word as he felt that his sister wouldn't have done such a thing. There must have been an inside story!

"It's not true, it's not true, it's not true!" Penny shook her head incessantly and wailed, "Clayton, they are accusing me of something I didn't do! I didn't do it!"

"Is that so?" Sebastian smirked. "Are you saying that I have wrongly accused you since I'm the one who provided the information? In that case, it'll be better to report this to the police and let them prove your innocence."

Hearing that, Penny seemed startled.

"However, don't regret it if we get the police involved since it is against the law to kidnap your own daughter. By then, you'd be jailed because of it," added Sebastian as he looked at her.

"N-No…" The horrified Penny shook her head. She refused to be jailed! If news got out, she would be criticized by everyone and would have to live with the embarrassment for the rest of her life!

"Do you think we will do as you wish?" Sebastian asked impassively. "Everyone in this room is either from the Penham Family or the Walker Family, and I believe that none of them would like to air their dirty laundry in public by reporting this to the police. Since I'm an outsider who doesn't want to make things hard for Mr. Eddie, I didn't want to get the police involved, but you insist that I'm accusing you. As such, I'll have to report this to the police to prove my case."

He paused for a second before telling Quinton, "Call the police."

"No! No! No! Don't!" Penny shook her head and bawled, "Don't call the police! I'm begging you!"

She refused to be incarcerated as her life would be done for if that really happened. She wouldn't want to be jailed no matter what!

"How can I prove that I'm not accusing you when we don't call the police?" Sebastian smirked.

With that, Penny was left with no choice and confessed as she cried, "Y-You weren't accusing me…"

"Are you admitting that Ava is Walter's daughter? Both you and Walter plotted the whole thing to let him take your daughter away from your mother and replace your daughter with his daughter after that, am I right?" Sebastian questioned.

At that point, Penny had let her guard down and sobbed, saying, "I didn't want that to happen too… I was only doing it for our family's sake… She's a jinx who would bring misfortunes to the people around her, which was evident when I almost died while giving birth to her. If she didn't leave, everyone in this family would die! I did this to save my family members' lives. I did it for my family's sake…"

"Oh, was it really for your family's sake?" Sebastian chuckled. "If it really was for your family's sake, why didn't you give your daughter away yourself, framing your mother for it instead?"

Hearing that, Penny immediately stopped crying and was speechless as she couldn't come up with a reason to refute it. Her motive of framing her mother was so that she wouldn't be suspected of sending her daughter away. On top of that, since it was Penny's mother who lost the child, Penny could use the reason of her being concerned about her mother having suicidal thoughts from the guilt of losing her grandchild to ask Bryson to keep their daughter's disappearance a secret and announce to the public that Ava was their biological daughter.

That way, the Penham Family would stop looking for the child who had disappeared, and both Penny and Walter's plan wouldn't be exposed too. By then, Ava could also grow up happily in the Penham Family as the young lady of the Penham Family. Even though Bryson wasn't someone bright, based on the information that he had heard so far, he was able to figure out Penny and Walter's scheme.

He glared at Penny fiercely. If he wasn't held back by his sons, he would have killed Penny, that wretched woman, on the spot.
