Ann shoved the woman away, who bumped into Grayson's arms without hesitation. Only then did she realize she seemed to have misunderstood. Madeline was not the kind of woman who deliberately came to places like clubhouses to manufacture a 'fateful encounter' with rich people.

Ann initially thought the woman was Madeline because the men who came out chasing those women looked very wealthy, and they were obviously the sons of affluent families. Madeline led the life she could only dream of—a life surrounded by tall, handsome men who cared and loved her.

Since that woman's goal was not Grayson, and naturally, what happened just now was a misunderstanding, she could just let it go. Still, even though Ann wanted to, Madeline's brat refused and even asked her to apologize to that woman!

She might have apologized if she felt like it. Yet, the brat not only asked her to apologize but also pretended to be innocent when he questioned Ann! Ann could not resist the urge to kick that brat to death, but she dared not, as she still wanted to marry Grayson. No matter how much she hated that brat, she could not afford to show it on her face.

Hence, Ann squeezed out a smile. "It was just a misunderstanding, my love. I thought it was a gold digger who wanted to seduce Grayson."

"Oh—" Joel flickered his eyes. "Since it was a misunderstanding, you should say sorry to Katy! Mom said that a good kid must say sorry, so you must say sorry too!"

Ann almost fainted from rage when she heard that. What was this brat trying to say? That if she did not apologize, she was a bad person? The worse thing was she had to pretend that she was not infuriated. "Although I misunderstood her, she bumped into Grayson first. So, we are both at fault."

Caitlin gave Ann a stern look and turned to Grayson. "I'm sorry. I ran too fast and accidentally bumped into you."

Grayson hurriedly said, "It's nothing. It was just an accident."

"There is a blood stain on your coat. Let me buy you a new one." Caitlin looked at his left shoulder.

"No need. It's just a trivial matter. Since you're Joel's aunt, you're not an outsider. So you don't need to be so polite." As he spoke, he lowered his head and glanced at his shoulder. He did not notice that a small portion of the coat was stained with blood. It must have been stained when she bumped into him and left some of the blood from her forehead on the coat.

Most doctors were a bit of a neat freak, and so was Grayson. But even if he felt a little nervous about strangers' blood on his clothes, his excellent upbringing and demeanor kept him from showing it. Fortunately, it was just a coat, so he could take it off upstairs. He comforted himself in his heart, trying to ignore the blood on his shoulders.

Caitlin smiled at him and turned to look at Ann. "Well? I accidentally bumped into Joel's uncle, and I have apologized. It's your turn." She ran too fast as she felt anxious and dizzy, so it was her fault that she accidentally bumped into Grayson. But Ann just called her 'slut' without reason, and that angered her.

For the past 20 years, she has been the little princess favored by her parents and admired by many. Although the Owen Family was bankrupt and her parents passed away, her temperament as the pampered princess could not be changed overnight. She would own up to whatever she did wrong, and so must the other party.

"Yes, Katy is right!" Joel looked at Ann with a serious face and said, "It's wrong to scold people! Say sorry to Katy!"

It was easy to say 'I'm sorry' most of the time, but sometimes, it was the most challenging thing to say. It was evident that Ann was experiencing the latter situation. In the meantime, many people watched on the sideline as the drama unfolded. Not everyone could hold a membership at the Club Tempest, and only those with wealth or power could enter. Because these people had high social status, they could not put aside their pride to pry at the drama, but this did not stop them from watching in the distance.

Ann was reluctant to apologize to Caitlin as she was being watched closely. It was as if she had done something wrong but did not. How could she have misunderstood if it were not for Caitlin suddenly bumping into Grayson's arms? Besides, Caitlin must have done it on purpose since there were so many people in the clubhouse, and yet, she chose Grayson. Was she in the wrong to think that Caitlin was deliberately trying to seduce Grayson? It was all Caitlin's fault, so why should she apologize? In particular, Caitlin was Madeline's friend, and the two little brats Madeline bred were standing beside Caitlin pressuring her to apologize!

The more she thought about it, the more the rage in her grew. So, she raised her chin arrogantly and sneered. "If you hadn't bumped into Grayson, I would not have mistakenly thought you wanted his attention, and I would not have scolded you. You were in the wrong first, and you must bear the consequences. I don't f*cking need to apologize to you!"

Just as Caitlin was about to rebuke Ann, Caitlin heard a sweet and pleasant voice from behind. "Katy?"
