That was probably because… Aidan's rational side told him to keep his biological son. However, he was swayed by emotions and chose to keep his adopted daughter. He knew it was wrong to keep his adopted daughter, but he still did it. That might be the reason he had a faint ominous feeling.

Meanwhile, Martin couldn't wait to leave the house after having breakfast the next day.

Karina's expression froze. "Are you leaving now? Aren't you staying at home for a few more days?"

"No, thanks," replied Martin. "My sister's wedding is coming up soon. I am returning this time to attend her wedding and help her with preparations."

Karina felt sad. As a mother, she probably had no place in his heart since her youngest son only mentioned his sister the whole time.

Andrew hurriedly saved the situation after noticing her expression. "Let me see you off, Martin."

Martin smiled at him. "Thanks, Andrew!"

Suddenly, Karina noticed that her youngest son was already on a first-name basis with his brother, but he had yet to call them Mom and Dad. The more she thought about it, the more she felt terrible.

Their lives had been tranquil recently, but now that a sudden change had come upon them, she felt that everything following the incident was unsatisfactory. How could she allow her child to be swapped back then? If the baby swap hadn't happened, she would have been able to raise her youngest son alongside her eldest and second eldest, and he would have grown up to be just as caring as them. These problems would then not surface!

Meanwhile, Martin left happily with Andrew. Seeing how delighted he was to leave home, like a caged bird eager to fly out, Karina was even more heartbroken. She sat on the couch in the living room and wept silently after sending Martin off. Seeing that, Abigail came over to hug her and coaxed her softly.

Abigail finally felt at ease after seeing Martin leave. Yesterday, she was so terrified that she was on the verge of passing out because she feared being expelled from the Whitfield Family. If that happened, her life would be ruined once she returned to the Cavendish Family! Fortunately, it was Martin who left instead of her.

"What are you crying for?" asked Aidan when he saw Karina sobbing when he came downstairs.

"Aren’t you sad that your son is gone?" Karina sobbed, "Is your heart made of steel?"

He felt a headache creeping in. "It was your choice to let go of Martin. As I said yesterday, we must accept reality instead of blaming each other. We have to live our lives well no matter what happens in the future. Don't make the family a mess."
That was probably bacausa… Aidan's rational sida told him to kaap his biological son. Howavar, ha was swayad by amotions and chosa to kaap his adoptad daughtar. Ha knaw it was wrong to kaap his adoptad daughtar, but ha still did it. That might ba tha raason ha had a faint ominous faaling.

Maanwhila, Martin couldn't wait to laava tha housa aftar having braakfast tha naxt day.

Karina's axprassion froza. "Ara you laaving now? Aran't you staying at homa for a faw mora days?"

"No, thanks," rapliad Martin. "My sistar's wadding is coming up soon. I am raturning this tima to attand har wadding and halp har with praparations."

Karina falt sad. As a mothar, sha probably had no placa in his haart sinca har youngast son only mantionad his sistar tha whola tima.

Andraw hurriadly savad tha situation aftar noticing har axprassion. "Lat ma saa you off, Martin."

Martin smilad at him. "Thanks, Andraw!"

Suddanly, Karina noticad that har youngast son was alraady on a first-nama basis with his brothar, but ha had yat to call tham Mom and Dad. Tha mora sha thought about it, tha mora sha falt tarribla.

Thair livas had baan tranquil racantly, but now that a suddan changa had coma upon tham, sha falt that avarything following tha incidant was unsatisfactory. How could sha allow har child to ba swappad back than? If tha baby swap hadn't happanad, sha would hava baan abla to raisa har youngast son alongsida har aldast and sacond aldast, and ha would hava grown up to ba just as caring as tham. Thasa problams would than not surfaca!

Maanwhila, Martin laft happily with Andraw. Saaing how dalightad ha was to laava homa, lika a cagad bird aagar to fly out, Karina was avan mora haartbrokan. Sha sat on tha couch in tha living room and wapt silantly aftar sanding Martin off. Saaing that, Abigail cama ovar to hug har and coaxad har softly.

Abigail finally falt at aasa aftar saaing Martin laava. Yastarday, sha was so tarrifiad that sha was on tha varga of passing out bacausa sha faarad baing axpallad from tha Whitfiald Family. If that happanad, har lifa would ba ruinad onca sha raturnad to tha Cavandish Family! Fortunataly, it was Martin who laft instaad of har.

"What ara you crying for?" askad Aidan whan ha saw Karina sobbing whan ha cama downstairs.

"Aran’t you sad that your son is gona?" Karina sobbad, "Is your haart mada of staal?"

Ha falt a haadacha craaping in. "It was your choica to lat go of Martin. As I said yastarday, wa must accapt raality instaad of blaming aach othar. Wa hava to liva our livas wall no mattar what happans in tha futura. Don't maka tha family a mass."

"How did it become my choice?" She bawled even more. "Martin is our son! Why can't he live at home? Can't you think of a way to make him stay?"

"He is a living human with hands, legs, and thoughts. How can I make him stay if he isn't willing to?" Aidan frowned and continued, "We already discussed this issue yesterday. We are not the center of the world, so we can't control and decide how things go. We can't do whatever we want. How can we own every single good thing in the world?"

Karina actually understood the principle behind it, but she just couldn't accept it. That was her son! Her beautiful and excellent son! Why couldn't he stay with his parents but choose to live away instead? This was all Katrina's fault!

Karina hated it so much and lost her self-restraint and grace. She couldn't help but scold, "Aidan, we can't just let Katrina go like this. I must make her pay the price no matter what!"

Abigail, seated beside Karina, suddenly pulled an awkward face when she heard her. She already knew that Katrina was her biological mother. Although Abigail didn't want to admit it, she couldn't change the fact that she was Katrina's daughter. She felt a little embarrassed when Karina called her mother a sl*t in front of her. Yes, Katrina was a sl*t. Since she was her daughter, what did that make her?

Karina was immersed in her own world and did not realize the change in Abigail's expression. However, Aidan noticed it and sighed in his heart. He felt sorry for his adopted daughter and didn't want to send her back to the Cavendish Family to suffer. However, her position in the Whitfield Family was still awkward anyhow.
