You More Than Anything In The World

Chapter 1260 No Doctor Willing To Treat Them

Seeing the triumphant expression on his face, Arissa couldn't help but smile too.

“Look at that grin on your face. It's not like it's the first time a child has called you 'Daddy'!” she teased playfully.

“But it's Oliver's first time,” Benjamin said, unable to contain his excitement. “It feels different from how Gavin calls me. It's special.”

Arissa was unsure how to respond. “What's the distinction?” she inquired.

Benjamin playfully pinched her cheeks and countered, “Did you feel any difference when Tim called you 'Mommy'?”

Arissa smiled with narrowed eyes and murmured, “I thought you couldn't tell the difference.”

Her response momentarily left Benjamin speechless.

Noticing the speechless expression on his face, Arissa couldn't help but chuckle softly. “What prompted Oliver to suddenly call you 'Daddy'?”

The children used to call him Mr. Graham. What made them decide to change the way they address him all of a sudden?

As Benjamin was about to respond to her curious gaze, his phone rang, prompting him to step aside and answer the call.

“What is it?”

“Mr. Graham, they're at their breaking point,” Ethen reported in a businesslike tone, devoid of emotion.

Benjamin's lips curled into a slight smile. “How long has it been?” he inquired.

“About three hours.”

Benjamin snorted coldly in response. Not bad.

“Come back then,” he ordered.

“Understood, Sir!” Ethen swiftly directed his subordinates to retrieve Justin and Julian from the sea.

After tucking his phone away, Benjamin casually faced Arissa, feigning an air of nonchalance.

“What was the call about?” she asked.

“Some work-related matters. Nothing important,” Benjamin replied as if nothing significant had occurred, calmly pushing her wheelchair along the lake.

The gentle evening breeze picked up its intensity, prompting Arissa to adjust her cloak. Tilting her head, she gazed at him. “The wind seems to be getting stronger. Shall we head back up?”

A tinge of concern was evident in his eyes as he looked at her. “Are you cold?”

“Not really. It's just that the wind is making my hair all messy,” she said while stroking her hair.

Benjamin immediately halted in his tracks and gathered her hair in his hands, putting it into a neat bun. “Is this better?”

A smile crept across her face as she touched her hair. Surprisingly, it held up quite well without a hair clip. “Yes, much better.”

After tucking a few more loose strands of hair neatly behind her ears, the man continued their stroll along the lake. “You've spent the entire day cooped up in the ward, so it's good to come out and get some fresh air.”

Since it was still early, Benjamin thought they might as well spend more time outdoors.

After strolling for another ten or so minutes, he finally led her back to the ward.

With their strength drained, Julian and Justin were hauled up to the deck by Ethen. They appeared disheveled and incapable of making any arrogant remarks, their arrogance now replaced with fear and exhaustion.
