You More Than Anything In The World

Chapter 1263 Giggling In Silence

Even after being taught a lesson by the children, Justin and Julian had no idea who was behind it, and they were furious. No matter how much they looked into it, their efforts were futile. Hence, they could only swallow their rage.

Upon arriving back home, the six children happened to bump into Darius, who was about to enter their room.

“Grandpa!” they called out in unison.

Darius turned around and looked slightly puzzled to see them standing behind him. “Huh? Didn't you all go to bed already? Where did you run off to?”

“We couldn't sleep, so we went downstairs to play,” Gavin replied seriously. The way he answered was so convincing that no one would have doubted him.

Darius nodded, then ushered them into their room to sleep.

“We'll be going to bed then, Grandpa. You should also sleep soon,” they said.

“I'll wait for you to doze off before I go to bed myself,” Darius responded with a loving smile as he waited for them to go in.

All six children entered their room obediently and swiftly climbed into bed.

However, no sooner had Darius left than the children slipped out of bed again. “Let's call Mommy!”

Sitting down quietly, they proceeded to give Arissa a video call, who was thrilled to receive a call from them.

“Sweethearts, why didn't you come to see me today?” She gazed at the children pitifully, prompting them to comfort her immediately.

“We were tired from playing today, so we didn't go visit you.”

In truth, the main reason was that Tim still had marks from the rashes on his body, so they did not go to see her because they were worried she would discover them.

“Mommy, if you miss us so much, we'll go to the hospital right now to keep you company.”

“No need for that. If you come here, you'll still have to go home later. It's too much trouble.” She quickly dissuaded them lest they really came looking for her.

“If you miss us, you can just look at Mr. Graham.”

When Arissa heard that, her lips quirked, and she cast a glance in the direction of the bathroom. “Why aren't you calling him 'Daddy' anymore?”

Jasper grinned impishly. “I never did that. It was Oliver.”

She turned to look at Oliver. The latter chuckled and explained in his piping voice, “We had a favor to ask of him, so, naturally, we addressed him as 'Daddy'.”

Torn between amusement and exasperation, Arissa said teasingly, “Well, your daddy was over the moon about it for a long time last night. He even bragged about it to me! If he hears you saying that, he'll definitely be heartbroken.”

The children burst into mischievous laughter.

“Mommy, did you eat properly today?” Gavin fixed his shining eyes on her, looking at her with deep concern.

She nodded. “I ate quite a lot. Your daddy even made sure I ate lots of fruits!”

Planning to bring her something delicious to eat, Tim hurriedly asked, “What else do you like to eat, Mommy? We'll bring it over for you tomorrow morning.”

“Hmm, I can't eat much. I'll just have whatever you're having.” Leaning against the headboard, she continued chatting with the children for a while.

When Benjamin walked out, he swept his gaze over her and remarked, “You've been sitting up for a good while already.”
