You More Than Anything In The World

Chapter 1305 Scaring The Children

“Benjamin, you shouldn't drink too much of this prune juice. It can cause diarrhea. It's better for those who often suffer from constipation...” Shaun carefully told Benjamin, who looked unwell.

The children sat at the side, nervously eyeing Benjamin.

“Fine!” Benjamin responded in a deep voice, his lips pursing.

Arissa looked at him, slightly puzzled as to why he was drinking a beverage. “Sit down and take a break. Have some hot water!” she suggested. “Gavin, could you please pour me a cup of hot water?”

Gavin poured the water, carried it over, and handed it to Benjamin with his head bowed. He whispered, “Daddy, have some water!”

Benjamin stared at him intently. As Gavin lifted his head, he met his father's deep gaze and, feeling guilty, quickly looked away.

With a cold huff, Benjamin thought, I'm an idiot if I still can't figure out why I have diarrhea at this point. Little brat!

Upon seeing Benjamin accept the cup, Gavin quickly ran back to his younger siblings. The kids dared not to frolic anymore, warily watching Benjamin, afraid that he might scold them.

“Shaun, you can go on with your work. He should be fine now,” Arissa said, turning to Shaun.

“I'll take my leave now, then. If he feels unwell again, let me know!” Shaun glanced at Benjamin, aware that the latter was in a foul mood at the moment.

Knowing it wasn't the best time to stick around, he took a look at the kids and then left.

“Why did you drink that prune juice?” Arissa asked curiously, her gaze fixed on the man with the tense, handsome face.

Benjamin had made several trips to the restroom, his complexion looking rather unwell.

Benjamin glanced at her, then turned his gaze to the little brats, his voice indifferent with a hint of grievance. “The kids offered me the drink, so I took it!”

Arissa was surprised, then she looked at the children. Seeing their guilty expressions, they didn't dare to meet her gaze. She narrowed her eyes.

“Come over here!” she said, becoming serious.

The children jostled each other before they finally reached her, each of them with their heads lowered.

“Why did you offer your daddy prune juice?” She frowned, doubtful that they didn't do it on purpose.

After all, they specifically picked the prune juice.

The kids glanced up at her. Gavin replied in a soft voice, “Daddy punished us, so we wanted to get back at him a little!”
