You More Than Anything In The World

For nearly half an hour, Arissa would occasionally glance over at the children. Seeing that, Benjamin found it amusing. This punishment is also her punishment, which indeed makes her heartache.

In the depths of her heart, Arissa told herself she couldn't afford to go soft on them. Otherwise, if there's a next time, it would be unbearable.

“Benjamin, I'm thirsty!”

“Let me pour you some water!” Benjamin diligently poured her some warm water, catering to her needs.

Arissa had already had a few drinks and was looking for trouble. “It's all your fault for packing so much food. It's way too salty.”

Benjamin looked at her with a serious expression. “Too salty? Then we won't go to Drawbridge Dining for meals next time. We even ran into unpleasant people there!”

“Who?” Arissa was curious. There weren't many people that Benjamin found distasteful. Who on earth had managed to upset him?

“If I tell you, you'll feel disgusted, so I'll stop,” Benjamin said on purpose.

Arissa was left hanging by him, feeling rather annoyed. She shouted at the children, “Gavin, do you know who it is?”

Upon hearing her call his name, Gavin's spirits lifted. “Mommy, I know. It's that woman!”

“A woman?” Arissa's gaze toward Benjamin changed, tinged with a hint of sourness. “What woman?”

Daddy just helped us out, so we should lend a hand too. The little ones exchanged glances then turned back to her and said, “It's that annoying woman. Mr. Graham even scolded her. He didn't let her touch his clothes! Mr. Graham really dislikes her.”

Benjamin gratefully glanced at the children, appreciating their efforts to speak up for him.

Arissa looked at them. A certain person crossed her mind, but she wasn't quite sure. “Who could it be?”

“Mommy, it's Miranda!” Zachary answered.

Arissa's brows furrowed tightly. Did Miranda also go to Drawbridge Dining for a meal?

“How did you guys meet?” she asked. When the little ones returned, they didn't mention this matter to me.

“We had just finished eating and were about to leave when we ran into her in the hallway. That woman was trying to seduce Dad, but he saw right through her. He didn't flirt back. Instead, he called her an ugly witch. She was so upset, she almost dropped dead on the spot!” Gavin told her every single word without omission. Arissa could imagine the scene, so she revealed a smile.

The little ones saw her smiling, so a great sigh of relief welled up from the bottom of their hearts.

Benjamin also breathed a sigh of relief, cursing under his breath, “That woman is so pretentious. She almost made me puke.”

Arissa laughed. “Is it nice to talk about a woman like that?”

“What's the big deal? She's not my wife. I don't care who she is!” Benjamin snorted coldly, making no attempt to hide his disgust.

Arissa felt a sense of satisfaction deep within her heart. Benjamin's insults were indeed refreshing.

“Did Miranda see all the children?” she asked.
