CHAPTER 1463 ARRESTED BY THE VIENNESE POLICE

Afterward, only Kathleen and her father were left inside the interrogation room.

Kathleen began to beg anxiously, "Daddy, you have to find a way to rescue me from this place. In the worst-case scenario, let's fake my death again."

"We can't. We've already used that method once. Nicholas will definitely suspect the truth. Besides, this place is not Vienna. There are many things that are not within my control." Rorion shook his head and rejected his daughter's idea.

Terror flooded her entire body. "What should we do? Nicholas will never forgive me! I don't want to be imprisoned!"

When she recalled her previous experience in jail, her expression became extremely ugly.

He could not bear to allow his daughter to suffer for her crimes either. Thus, he comforted her with a grim expression, "Don't worry. I will definitely think of a way."

For the next two days, Rorion was consumed by Kathleen's affairs. Although he desperately attempted to bribe various people into helping him with money, nobody was willing to help him.

Unbeknownst to him, Nicholas was monitoring every single move he made over the past few days.

On the other hand, Tessa couldn't help feeling touched after listening to the daily reports from Edward. "Kathleen has a good father."

Nicholas immediately understood the meaning behind her words and disagreed, "He is a good father indeed, but a good father who does not teach his children to distinguish right from wrong will only harm his child in the end."

In this regard, she had to agree with him. If not for Rorion's blind devotion and affection for his daughter, Kathleen would never have developed such an extreme character.

After she pondered the matter for some time, she suddenly began to feel worried. "It looks like Rorion is willing to spend a small fortune for Kathleen's sake. Do you think he will eventually succeed at bribing somebody?"

"Don't worry, he no longer has that opportunity," he sneered coldly.

Those words turned out to be the truth.

Just like the previous two days, Rorion came to the police station to visit Kathleen early the next morning.

As soon as he entered the police station, he was stopped by two police officers. "Mr. Rorion, we have received a request from the police in Vienna to place you under arrest."

Then, the other policeman placed a pair of handcuffs on Rorion.

Hathaway froze in astonishment.

Even Rorion was dumbfounded by the sudden turn of events. When he returned to his senses, he questioned them with a stern expression, "What crime did I commit? What gives you the right to arrest me?"

"According to the evidence provided by the Vienna police, you are suspected of helping Kathleen escape from punishment. Therefore, your actions are a violation of the law, and you have been charged by the Viennese police for your crimes." The policeman who spoke earlier gave a brief explanation of the situation.

Rorion felt as though there was something stuck in his throat, preventing him from uttering a single word. Nevertheless, he was not happy with the outcome. His gaze landed upon Hathaway, and he came up with a plan in his heart.

"Hathaway, if you want your daughter to survive, find that woman and ask her to release us immediately. Otherwise, you will lose your daughter completely for the rest of your life."

After he finished speaking, the policeman quickly took him away. They probably felt that he was too noisy.

Hathaway was left alone in the corridor. She mulled over Rorion's words and entered the interrogation room in a daze.
