Chapter 383

Emmett took the food and looked at the list.

He found a baby's meal marked on the list.

The take-out worker saw Emmett take the take-out food and said, "Have a good meal." Then he left. He still had to rush to pick up the next order.

Emmett did not close the door immediately. Instead, he looked up at the tightly shut door on the opposite side.

Other than the woman called Alyssa, who else would order food for him and Angela at this time of the day?

She was a very attentive and soft-hearted woman.

Emmett hooked his lips and a smile touched into his eyes.

He and Angela had already had dinner before. So he originally wanted to throw away the take-out box.

He looked up and saw a slim and slender woman walking towards him.

The woman was wearing a white dress. Her footsteps were light and she looked very young.

The closer the woman got, the clearer Emmett could see her face.

Emmett murmured, "Alyssa?"

"I made the vegetarian tri-fried and stewed beef. Since you've been too busy recently, I didn't put much chili in. You need to eat something light."

Alyssa walked over and grabbed his arm. She looked at him with a smile. The two of them were very close.

Suddenly, the scene changed.

He was no longer in the courtyard and Alyssa had also disappeared.

He looked around and found that he was in a bedroom.


The sound of water splashing came from the bathroom.

"Empett!"

Emmett suddenly opened his eyes and saw Angela’s face above his head.

Angela lowered her head and looked at him above Emmett's head. "Wake up. I'm so hungry."

Along with her words, her stomach cooperatively cooed twice.

Emmett held Angela by the back of her collar and lifted her to the side before sitting up.

So it was a dream.

The last time he sent Alyssa back, he knew he was interested in Alyssa.

This dream made him understand what kind of feelings he had for Alyssa.

This was something that had never happened before.

"Daddy."

Emmett felt someone pulling his blanket.

He looked down and realized it was Angela who was trying to lift his blanket.

His expression changed. He reached out to hold the blanket and carried Angela to the floor. His tone was serious. "Now, turn around and go out. Wait for me outside the door."

Angela replied, "Okay."

Then she obediently ran out with her little legs.

As soon as she went out, Emmett locked the door and went into the bathroom.

By the time Emmett tidied himself up and came out, it had been half an hour later.

Angela sat in front of his door with her messy hair on her head and whispered to herself, as she played with her toys.

Emmett took her to wash her face and change her clothes. When he was combing her hair, he was at a loss.

He stared at Angela's soft hair for a few seconds and said in a serious tone, "You look pretty when your hair is let down."

Angela said excitedly, "I want to tie my braids."

Emmett said with a straight face, "You don't look good if you tie your braids."

Angela turned her small head to look at him. She twisted her fingers and seemed to read Emmett. She said loudly, "You don't know how to tie my braids!"

Emmett had nothing to say.

Ding Dong –

The doorbell rang.

"I'll go open the door." Emmett got up and went to open the door.
