"Really? What is it? Why are you only telling me now?" Lizbeth smiled through her tears. As long as she told Arthur about Lucy's b*stard, he would surely detest Lucy!

"When have I ever lied to you?" Jenson opened his email and clicked on some photos someone sent him. "My insider just sent me this, so I couldn't tell you in time."

Lizbeth didn't pay attention to what he was saying. She snatched his phone and swiped through the photos.

As long as she could find a picture with the child's face, she could then find ways to get his hair, fingernails, or anything else and run a DNA test against Lucy's.

When the time came, she would show Arthur the child's picture and the DNA report, and he would definitely dump Lucy!

"Why aren't there any pictures of the child's face?" Lizbeth swiped through a few photos, but all of them were of Lucy leaving the Figueroa family's house carrying the child. None of the pictures showed the kid's face, and Lizbeth was getting anxious.

"Don't worry." Jenson patted her head. "Keep scrolling."

"Don't touch me. How many times have I told you that?" Lizbeth ran further away from him with the phone, very annoyed with him getting all touchy.

Jenson's hand paused mid-air, but he lowered it very naturally. A look of sadness flashed in his eyes.

Lizbeth did not pay attention to him at all. She kept swiping in annoyance until she finally came across a picture showing the kid's full face.

She was overjoyed at first, but when she looked closely at the kid's appearance, her eyes narrowed.

How could the child...look so much like Arthur?

Moreover, the child looked like he was only four or five years old. Could Lucy have been pregnant when she left back then?!

"What's wrong?" Jenson asked.

"Nothing!" Lizbeth quickly forwarded the email to herself and deleted the photo. "Jenson, have you seen these photos?"

"He just sent them to me. I didn't have time to look." Jenson smiled helplessly.

Lizbeth breathed a sigh of relief and said, "It's good that you didn't see them. Don't mention this child to anyone! Remember, not to anyone, understood?"

She had to first find out who the child's father was!

...

Early the next morning, Kylah took Caden to kindergarten. She said poetically, "A child's innocence and tenderness is the best antidote for a breakup."

Lucy, "..."

She couldn't figure out what one thing had to do with the other.

She had a simple breakfast and drove to work.

"Good morning, Ms. Morgan!" Diane, the receptionist, was always that enthusiastic.

"Good morning!" Lucy smiled and handed Diane a breakfast set. "You didn't have breakfast again, did you?"

"Hehe, thanks boss! Oh, by the way, this bouquet of flowers is for you!" Diane put the breakfast on the table, then turned around and grabbed a big bouquet of bright red roses from behind her.

The dewdrops on the roses shone prettily, and the passionate red color of the roses filled the air with romance.

Lucy pointed at herself in disbelief. "For me?"

She had received many love letters all her life, but she had never gotten fresh flowers.

"Yes! The person who sent the flowers said that they're a gift from a Mr. Johnson!" Diane's eyes shone, and she failed to notice the change in Lucy's expression. "There are 999 roses. It stands for long-lasting love!"

Lucy pushed the bouquet back to her and said plainly, "Distribute them among the staff."

Seeing gifts from Arthur put her in a bad mood!

Without looking at Diane's look of surprise, she went into her office and dealt with the work accumulated over the past few days.

However, not long after, the chattering of staff came from outside the office.

"Wow, so many balloons!"

"They say 'Lucy, I love you' and 'Lucy, I'm sorry'. Is this a confession to Ms. Morgan?"

"Look at the handsome guy downstairs. He's more handsome than a celebrity!"

Lucy put down the document she was holding and walked outside.

"Ms. Morgan, someone is confessing his love to you. Don't you want to go take a look?" One of the staff teased.

Lucy crossed her arms and swept her gaze across her staff, who were all incredibly nosy. "I don't know if I'll go take a look, but I know that if you guys keep slacking at work, this month's bonus will be cancelled."

The staff were startled.

The crowded area immediately became empty.

Lucy stood by the window and glanced at the helium balloons with sweet words written all over them, then went back into her office.

She didn't know what Arthur was up to, and she didn't want to know!

"Lucy, I love you!"

"Lucy, I love you!"

"Lucy, I love you!"
