Cas sius nodded, deep in thought. “You’re right. It’s just a pity.”
“There’s no pity.” Evadne smiled. “As long as we the K Group can profit, that’s all that matters. Besides, I never intended to take down Elspeth in one go. What I want is not just to strip her of her position as vice-chair of the board of directors, but also to make her lose Frederic’s trust. I want Frederic to feel that the Abernathy group lost this project and suffered a huge loss because of Elspeth.”

“Evadne, do you know what I want to do the most right now?” Cas sius leaned forward with a smile.

“Alright, let’s go for a karaoke session then. It’s been ages since we sang, I have no clue how you sound now.” Nydia said, her tone teasing.
“I’m a born singer, and no one can beat me when I’m belting out a tune.”
Evadne cleared her throat, “Listen up, I’m going to sing a few lines for you!”
Just then, the Abernathy Group’s high-level meeting had just ended, and Frederic issued three important directives.
