Acacia got dragged outside, catching the attention of many medical staff around her. Her dignity was totally trashed.
But hey, she had lost everything already, so what was another slap in the face?
“Ah!”
Gordon and the bodyguard let go of her in unison, sending Acacia tumbling to the ground.
“Hey, buddy, you got a tissue?” Gordon asked the bodyguard.
“Sorry, Mr. Gordon, I don’t have any on me.”
“No worries, we’ll snag a few alcohol wipes from the nurse later. We’ve got to clean our hands after touching… well, something filthy.”
With that, Gordon spat at Acacia, then turned around with the bodyguard and headed back inside.
At that moment, the sky erupted with a thunderous boom. Within seconds, the heavens opened up, pouring rain as if trying to wash away everything.
Acacia, repeatedly hit by one blow after another, sat there stunned and lifeless, without the strength to stand up in the rain.

“Ms. Acacia, your father is not in this hospital, right? Are you crying at the wrong place?” Arnold looked at the drenched Acacia coldly, a smirk on his lips.
“Let’s go, Arnold, Evadne is waiting for us,” Cas sius, only caring about his sister, lightly patted Arnold’s shoulder.
Without giving Acacia another look, the two brothers walked into the hospital together.
“Evadne Ashbourne… why… why are you so loved and cherished by everyone, while I end up with nothing, even Thaddeus abandoned me because of you… why does it always have to be me?!”
In the thunder and lightning, Acacia’s pale face looked even more distorted as if her features were twisted!
“Evadne! One day, I’ll make sure you have nowhere to go… I definitely will!”
After putting Marilla to sleep, Evadne sat by the bed, lovingly stroking the girl’s soft cheek, and sighed deeply.

The lightning outside seemed to strike Thaddeus. His shoulders trembled, and his chest ached.
