Nadia stood there not saying anything, which grew on Clare’s nerves, not only was her leg in pain, but now she was probably going to have to play peacekeeper by the way the two exchanged looks.

There was silence between the three of them, the stillness of the night and the sparks of light glimmering between their vision.
